Tesla will open 240-volt chargers in and around Manhattan to make commuting and living there easier for owners. The electric car company is partnering with 24 local garages to provide charging while people park. “We wanted to move to an urban charging network that meets the needs of those who live in apartments or commute into a big city,” says Tesla’s Alexis Georgeson. “Naturally, Manhattan was the place to try this for the first time.” Tesla plans to open more chargers in more locations over the coming months. Read more from The New York Times.

A new spy video shows the 2016 Toyota Prius testing in San Francisco. The new Prius appears to adhere to the styling of previous generations, but there are rumors of a sportier look for the new model year. Of course, the car caught on the hills of San Francisco is wearing a good amount of camouflage, obfuscating any of the possible aesthetic changes we’re all looking for. As Green Car Reports notes, though, the nose and front hood line look to be slightly lowered. We’ll get a much better look when the car debuts, likely some time this fall. See the car for yourself in the video below, and read more at Green Car Reports. We’ve also got good spy shots of the interior.
