It happens every 3rd Saturday in August since 1994. Over 1 million attendees gather on an infamous 10-mile stretch of the country’s first concrete roadway, Woodward Ave., to view over 40,000 classic street rods, muscle cars, custom and specialty vehicles. If your heartbeat sounds more like a well-tuned 426 hemi, you can’t help but pull up a lawn chair and a cold root beer to enjoy the sweet sounds of what made the Motor City famous. Smack dab in the middle of it, yours truly Elio Motors, staged our P5 for the masses while the P4 joined the cruise processional. Gear heads and enthusiasts alike stopped dead in their tracks to take a closer look at our 3-wheel cruiser, happy to see that American ingenuity is alive and well! Here’s a gallery of photos from the event:
Lon, and Colleen from Berkley, MI (#2618), says he’ll get matching color panels, carpet and a roof rack. We suspect Lon will be making another reservation for his lady too:).
Jeff jumped “All In” this year with a reservation and shares. Jeff’s mini-fleet includes a Volt, a Prius, “AND” soon one of these beauties.
Warren parked his two-seater show car, then walked down to sit in his other “two-seater.” He’s got a thing for red too!
Lilly Mae drove in with her granddaughter to spend the day with us!
Thank you to all our futureliowners who made a special trip to come see us! Stay tuned for our next event announcement.
