If you’ve been a regular reader of our blogs, you know that the impetus for many of them have come from insightful and creative questions or suggestions submitted by Elio Motors fans. For example, a recent blog topic came from a great conversation with a reservation holder about the Elio’s seats. Today’s topic, however, comes from a recent conversation between two Elio Motors employees. One employee mentioned in conversation their dread of having to visit a dealership to purchase their girlfriend a new vehicle. The second employee could commiserate and at that moment they both realized why the Elio Motors purchasing model is so important.
At Elio Motors, we want to make the process of buying a vehicle enjoyable. We know what you’re thinking, and we can’t blame you. Despite your reluctance, it is possible.
Here’s how we’re going to actually make buying a new vehicle fun:
First, we want the process to be equally enjoyable for both introverts and extroverts. So, when you step into an Elio Motors dealer, you will have the option of either interacting with a fully functional kiosk or a knowledgeable and engaging Elio representative (or a combo if you would like). In short, Elio dealers will remind you more of a comfortable tech store than a historically confrontational car lot. Shoot, you may be able to order the Elio from the comfort of your own home if things go the way we believe they will!
Whether you want to interact with a kiosk or team member, you will not need to worry about trying to haggle, negotiate, or arm wrestle for the best possible price. Why? The answer is not because it would be pretty simple to arm wrestle a kiosk; it’s that we have decided to offer the same price to everyone. Instead of offering discounts or trying to “beat” the customer, we think it makes much more sense to have a set price, nationwide. We will be able to accomplish this by having Elio owned dealers to ensure that everyone is on the same page. This way everyone gets the best price and you won’t have to find an “uncle” that works for Elio to get the best price. All discounts i.e. family, supplier, military, fleet etc. are all rolled into one price for everyone.
As a company of automotive enthusiasts, we truly think that buying your new Elio should be a fun process. So, for this reason, you’ll be able to initiate the process however you choose and the price of the vehicle and our options will be the same for everyone. We even think the coffee you find at dealers should improve, but we’re taking it one step at a time.
